KMI

For the 3rd year I am participating in KMI, or Key Man Invitational, a discipleship Conference facilitated by the Navigators ministry near Wichita Falls, Texas. For more than 40 years God has used this opportunity to encourage men serious about their faith in Jesus to enhance their personal discipleship, and to help others do the same. This done by a series of small group times, workshops, plenary sessions, meal times and one on one encounters. The impact is significant. As I am a slow processor, and the conference isn't over, I anticipate a further blog entry on this subject.

The Mailman

As I prepare to depart to Brazil for my eighth visit, I find that a number of brethren have asked me to send updates. As in 2009 when I spent a year traveling around the country, it seems the best way to do that is to revive my blog InthefootstepsofTychicus@blogspot.com Why Tychicus? He was one of Paul's companions, mentioned five times in the New Testament, and quite favorably.He is given the considerable honor of carrying several of Paul's prison letters,inspired Scripture, from Rome to Asia Minor, now Turkey. Probably Ephesians, Colossians and Philemon. When I consider how arduous travel was in the first century, and how precious were the documents that Tychicus carried, I am humbled to follow in his footsteps.
